This first version keeps signup simple. Your account is active right away, and you get one private machine that only you can view and edit.

Good playfield image tips for your first upload

Take the photo as straight-on as possible, crop tightly to the playfield edges, avoid extra background, keep the whole playfield corner-to-corner in frame, and use bright low-glare lighting.

What machine are you swapping?

Required. 3-6 uppercase letters or numbers. This makes labels like Stargate [A17] without exposing email addresses.

Matrix family template

If you choose a catalog machine, this is auto-filled from the mapped board family. It still only assigns the family template; nothing is loaded into redux until you explicitly do that in Matrix Setup.

What happens when you submit

A new user is created with role viewer.
A new machine is created as private and owned by that user.
Your machine label shows everywhere as Machine Name [YOURCODE].
A machine permission row grants that user view + edit on that machine.
If you picked a catalog machine, the canonical machine name and mapped family template are saved too.
The user is logged in and sent to a guided first-use page.
